See what Gemini says about your brand.

Gemini is Google's assistant, and its share of AI chatbot visits tripled in a year. Visibian puts your buyers' questions to Gemini, daily or weekly, and shows whether it names you and which pages it based the answer on.

How Gemini finds its answers

It searches Google, then writes its own answer.

Gemini can only use pages from Google Search, and one robots.txt setting can keep your pages out of its answers.

With grounding switched on, Gemini runs Google searches and writes its answer from the pages they return. Being in Google Search is the entry ticket.

That setting is Google-Extended. It lets you stop Google using your pages to train Gemini and to ground answers in the Gemini app. Google says it doesn't change your Google Search results, so the cost is easy to miss.

What to check on your site

4 things that decide whether Gemini can cite you.

01

Check Google-Extended

If your robots.txt blocks Google-Extended, Google won't use your pages to ground answers in the Gemini app. Leave it allowed if you want Gemini to cite you.

02

Be in Google Search first

Gemini grounds its answers in Google Search results. A page Google can't find or show is a page Gemini can't use.

03

Put the answer near the top

Assistants lift short passages. A plain answer in the first lines, with the facts and the source, is easy to quote.

04

Compare it with AI Mode

Same company, same search, different answers. Watching both shows whether a gap is about your pages or about one assistant.

In Visibian

Every Gemini answer about you, kept in full.

Named or not

Whether Gemini named you, and how often across your questions, with a 95% confidence range.

Gemini and AI Mode, apart

Google's two answers are tracked separately, so you see where they differ for the same question.

The pages it based the answer on

Every page Gemini drew on, so you know which of Google's results it trusted.

Why it picked someone else

Why not me? says whether your page was never retrieved, read and passed over, or retrieved but not cited.

Visibian asks Gemini through Google's own Gemini API with Google Search grounding switched on, so each answer is written from live search results and comes with the pages it drew on. The same questions go to the 6 other assistants on every plan. Checked 18 October 2026.

Questions

Asked before you ask.

How do I check what Gemini says about my brand?

Add your brand and the questions your buyers ask. Visibian asks Gemini each one, daily or weekly, and shows the full answer, the pages behind it and whether you were named.

Does blocking Google-Extended hide me from Gemini?

It can. Google-Extended controls whether Google may use your pages to train Gemini and to ground answers in the Gemini app. Google says it doesn't affect Google Search. Leave it allowed if you want Gemini to cite you.

Is Gemini the same as Google AI Mode?

No. Gemini is Google's assistant, in its own app. AI Mode is the written answer inside Google Search. They can answer the same question differently, so Visibian tracks both, on every plan.

How does Gemini decide which brands to mention?

With Google Search grounding, Gemini searches Google and writes its answer from the pages it finds. The brands in those pages are the ones it can name. Our GEO guide sets out 7 steps to be one of them.

Does Visibian use the Gemini app or the API?

Google's own Gemini API, with Google Search grounding on. It is the official route, and it returns the pages each answer drew on.
